My first ever community event was the now legendary Scottish Summit 2019, which is why this event holds such a special place in my heart.

In 2020 I became a volunteer for the event … and in 2021 I took an even bigger leap by deciding to speak! As a new speaker, I was given a huge amount of support which included sessions with Dona Sarkar, and Virtual Power Group on how to prepare, as well as some incredible 1:1 mentoring by community all-star and co-founder of xRMVirtual User Group Julie Yack!

I can’t recommend participating in the Scottish Summit New Speaker programme enough … they have helped me find a voice I never knew I had.

Giving New Speakers a Stage

We are proud to say that at Scottish Summit we have created a safe environment for new speakers to learn and flourish. Under the guidance from volunteers, external groups and the MVP community we have given new speakers the chance to shine on a global stage. In 2021 we have over 30 new speakers who where mentored from signing up for the event to final day presenting
